Walk With Confidence – Dr. Naidu is the #1 provider of BTG products in the southeast, specializing in Verithena Varicose Vein Treatment. Verithena is a minimally invasive, nonsurgical treatment.
During treatment
- Treatment with Varithena® is minimally invasive and nonsurgical (no incisions required)
- The doctor usually numbs the injection site, but no additional anesthesia is required
- The doctor administers a small amount of Varithena® through a catheter or by direct injection into the malfunctioning vein
- It usually takes the doctor less than an hour to administer Varithena®
- Following administration, the doctor applies bandages and compression stockings to the leg
After treatment
Patients may resume some activities the same day as treatment.
Heavy exercise should be avoided for one week.
Post-treatment bandages need to be kept dry and in place for 48 hours, and compression stockings must be worn on the treated leg for 2 weeks.
For a month, patients should walk at least 10 minutes a day and avoid long periods of inactivity.
If you have received treatment with Varithena®, your doctor will give you additional instructions for post-treatment self care.
Some patients receiving Varithena® (polidocanol injectable foam) only need a single treatment.
Additional treatment may be needed, depending on the number and size of veins to be treated.
